This wine possesses a brilliant light-straw coloration. Delicate aromas of Asian pear, quince and vanilla bean are underlain by a core of minerality which is the trademark for this unique block of dry-farmed Chenin Blanc. The flavors are bright and crisp, reminiscent of Gravenstein apple(s) and lemon tart(s). This individualistic expression of Chenin Blanc truly showcases the terrior of the vineyard. Barrel-aged for over twelve months, this wine was slowly coaxed along by our winemaking staff until it finally began to reveal its true character. Though approachable now, the best part of this wine lies in its ability to age, gaining weight, depth and even greater minerality.
