Distilled from Nebbiolo grapes, this aged grappa reflects the history and heritage of the famous grappa’s from northern Italy.  The hue is golden-amber, reflecting the long period of gently aging in oak barrels.  The nose is particularly delicate and complex for a grappa.  Scents of Mirabelle plum, marzipan, dried fig and vanilla evoke an intriguing and inviting range of aromas.  The palette is full and punchy. It offers warmth without being sharp and hot. An interplay of red fruits, roasted almonds and subtle oak flavors create a rewarding depth of flavors not typically associated with grappa.  Finished in “sweet reserve” port barrels for 6 months prior to bottling.  This is a one-of-a-kind grappa offering from Pendray’s distillery.
